Thomson Reuters 2Q profit slips 9 percent on weakness in legal, markets divisions
Thomson Reuters Corp. says its second-quarter net income fell 8 percent on weakness in its legal and markets divisions.
The news and information provider says it earned $290 million, or 35 cents per share, in the quarter ended June 30, down from $315 million, or 38 cents per share, a year earlier.
Stripping out one-time items, the company says it would have earned 47 cents per share, down from 58 cents.
Revenue slipped 2 percent to $3.22 billion.
Thomson Reuters said it expects revenue to begin growing again in the third quarter.
